ARDATEM, founded in 1987 and currently employing around 800 people, is a subsidiary of the Gérard Perrier Industrie Group. ARDATEM operates in the energy sector, working on nuclear plants at various stages: studies, operation, and maintenance and also engages with industrial sites in the fuel cycle, thermal power plants, and research centers.

In 2025, ARDATEM UK Pvt Ltd. has started its operations in the United Kingdom to provide engineering consulting services, particularly in the fields of Control and Instrumentation (C&I), safety and electrical engineering. This includes installation, commissioning, and maintenance, as well as all on-site activities for the UK nuclear industry.

As part of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear project, you will join the Configuration Management team within Edvance/EPRe's Technical Direction. You will play a key role in managing and coordinating technical configuration activities, ensuring efficient implementation of the Design Change Process and contributing directly to the project's engineering performance.

Main Responsibilities
  • As a member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting on-site design activities in the piping discipline. In this role, your main duties will include:
  • Collecting and analyzing design input data.
  • Engaging with various stakeholders (installation contractors, CW interfaces, and other disciplines) to clarify technical issues.
  • Preparing and issuing technical assessments related to site requests (RFI, FCR, NCR) involving piping, supports, and anchorage topics.
  • Providing technical input and expertise to other teams (Layout, Transverse, etc.) as needed.
  • Performing hand calculations and using anchorage macros to assess the feasibility of proposed modifications.
  • Recommending suitable and proportionate design changes when sizing criteria are not met.
  • Reviewing and closing open points and technical comments.
  • Assessing and incorporating modifications received from stakeholders before handing over documentation packages.
  • Preparing calculation notes and guide drawings for subcontracted companies.
  • Ensuring compliance with EPR-E's quality assurance (QA) procedures in the delivery of design activities.
  • Collaborating with CAD designers/detailers to prepare and review drawings.
  • Contributing to the update of design documentation, including standard solution catalogues and technical notes

Profile

Education and Experience.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in piping mechanical design, preferably within the nuclear or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of EUROCODE, ASME, and RCC-M codes.
  • Solid understanding of the piping system lifecycle, including detailed design, execution, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software such as PDMS, NavisWorks, PIPESTRESS, RSTAB, ANSYS APDL, and WORKBENCH.
  • Familiarity with piping and support calculation tools.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.

Skills and Attributes
  • Knowledge of the HPC project or previous EPR projects is an asset.
  • Good understanding of nuclear engineering specificities, including NI, CI, and BoP buildings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Rigorous, autonomous, curious, and motivated to learn.
  • Strong ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
